Be Indypendent

By supporting the City Market, you are not only supporting a large piece of history of the city, but you are also supporting your fellow Hoosiers. Whether you stop in on your lunch break for something quick or you hit the Farmers’ market every Wednesday, you are supporting something much bigger than you realize. The City Market is not just any market, it is a piece of Indiana’s young history that stands as a national landmark constantly reminding us to Get Fresh. Be Indypendent. Buy Local.

The Summer is still YOUNG...

One month of summer down, two more to go for most students and Hoosiers for all intents and purposes. The summer, to these individuals, seems to be coming to a quick close. The City Market, on the other hand, is ready to celebrate summer up until the very last possible moment. With the Grand Opening Week over and behind us, the City Market has a brand new look and feel that everyone's talking about.

With all the buzz behind the Market, 222 East Market Street is proving to be one of Indy's newest hot spots! The first ever Indy Arts Market was clearly a success with different artists from across the area filling Whistler Plaza. The Market stayed busy until the artists packed up shop for the day. As a community center, the City Market will run the Indy Arts Market on a continual basis to keep Indy introduced to local art and local music.

The Market isn't just hosting Indy Arts Market this summer, the event calendar is jam-packed with exciting concerts, kitchen demonstrations and of course our award winning Farmer's Markets. Each of these events takes place right in the heart of the Market, bringing people together in the Market house and on Whistler Plaza for great food and great music.

So as you scramble for exciting things to finish your summer off right, why not look to the Indianapolis City Market? With all the new events and festivities going on at the Market, it's sure to be a spot you can turn to and guarantee yourself an entertaining day!
